Welcome to Botwell House Catholic Primary School
Head's Welcome
Dear Parents
Welcome to Botwell House Catholic Primary School. Botwell House is a vibrant, caring, Christian community where everyone works together to achieve our catholic mission. Our Mission Statement states that we as a school are
"distinguished by the care, courtesy and concern extended to all its members, regardless of cultural differences and strives to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ to:
Love one another as I have loved you
Through a partnership between home, school and parish and through a broad and balanced curriculum, each valued individual is encouraged to grow in his or her journey of faith and strive towards excellence."
All individuals who are welcomed into our school are valued as unique creations of God. It is our aim to foster within each child a deeper personal relationship with God. We want each young person to become confident, caring, thinking individuals who want to aspire and reach their potential.
We have within our school a harmonious, active learning environment where all children feel safe and secure. Each valued individual will have the opportunity to grow with the support of talented staff who are committed to the development of the whole person and who care about their pupils.
We are now updating our website on a regular basis. Please check here for information.

BOTWELL SKIP INTO THE RECORD BOOKS!!
On Thursday 30th April, children from Botwell House took part in a nationwide skipping challenge. Schools from all over the country had children skipping for 3 minutes, without stopping, to try and break the Guinness World record. Over 18,000 children took part and we believe this has smashed the current world record. Official confirmation from Guinness will take a number of weeks.
A huge well done to all the children and staff at Botwell House....keep skipping!
Earrings: Please note that earrings are not permitted in school at any time for health and safety reasons. If your child is getting his/her ears pierced, please wait until the beginning of the school summer holiday so that the ears have time for the 6 week healing period. Thank you.
Coats: Please ensure children bring a cardigan/jumper and a coat to school with them every day, even in the sunnier weather as the weather often changes during the day.
School PE kit: All PE kits should include a white t-shirt, navy blue shorts, plimsolls/trainers and spare socks. Track suits may be worn for outdoor PE and are the only optional item. There are several children missing out on PE as they do not have the correct uniform.
Contact Numbers: Please ensure we have up to date contact numbers and any change of address in the school office. This is really important in case we need to contact you in an emergency.
Texting Service: Again, please ensure we have correct mobile numbers as we do use these to send reminders through our school to parents texting service. Thank you.
Beat the bully: Listen to the song composed by a group of our Year 5 and 6 children during a day long workshop on how to beat bullying. We think they have done a brilliant job and hope you enjoy listening to it.
