We want to provide a Design and Technology curriculum that they will not only enjoy but that will provide our children with the knowledge and skills they need to experiment, invent, problem-solve, reflect and evaluate their own works of design and technology. As part of a rich and diverse community we intend to capitalise on the experiences our children have to inspire their design and technology work whilst also making links with other areas of the curriculum. We strive to use our high-quality carefully sequenced curriculum to inspire, engage and challenge children whilst allowing them to experiment and invent their own works of design and technology.

Our aim is for children to master a wide range of techniques when using different materials. As they progress, we will also provide pupils with the opportunity to critically evaluate and analyse their own and others’ (past and present) work, considering effectiveness, forming opinions and expressing these using technical language in discussions.
