As effective communicators, we will read the Queens Hat by Steve Antony. Developing informative and emotional diary entries. We will also be making creative invitations, Looking at capital letters, pronouns and tense.  

In school, we will use addition structures for the children to understand that two parts make a whole. Moving onto addition and subtractions facts within 10

 

As Members of the Digital Age...

As Historians...

We will use iPads to look at digital painting. Learning how use programmes correctly and save our work

We will look at the most significant family in London. The Royal Family. We will look at a brief history of London transport.

As Members of a Catholic Community….

As Active Citizens...

We will be discussing how and why the priest prepares a special meal during Mass called Communion following Jesus’ instruction during his final special meal, ‘The Last Super.’ We will also look at ourselves and how we can change during Lent in preparation for Easter by looking at our behaviours and learning about Jesus’ journey and The Easter Story

This term, we will look at our virtues of integrity. We will focus on a new value each month. This term, the values will be looking at are obedience, diligence and honesty. As active citizens we will try to live our live our lives to show these values.

We will be looking at London using a map and aerial photographs to study physical and human features to identify famous landmarks. 

London, city, physical features, human features, landmarks, famous, characteristics, observations changes, similarities and differences monuments, historical, River Thames, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham palace

As we study our capital city and learn about famous landmarks around us. We will design our own city of London using playdough, salt dough and clay.

We will develop our scientific skills of enquiry through observations and scientific investigations. We will be finding out about the seasons.

As Sporting Heroes...

We will look in detail at famous landmarks. Look carefully at the structure

As sporting heroes in outside PE, we will continue to learn how to handle and control small balls. Learning new skills and games as we participate. Inside, we will continue to develop our gymnastic skills to dance and move rhythmically across the floor.
