All our staff have rigorous training during their induction when they join us. This training includes as standard (although there are additions for particular roles) :
– Enhanced Safeguarding accredited training with contextual coaching
– Prevent
– Display Screen Equipment
– Health and Safety Training
One aspect of this to note is that every member of staff receives accredited mental health and well-being training, so that everyone is able to develop their own resilience and support other colleagues effectively too.
All new staff are assigned a ‘buddy’ to help guide them through those minor day-to-day things that can never be foreseen. Staff also have a direct line manager who oversees their induction and ongoing career progression.
We have very focussed professional development for both teaching and support staff on a weekly basis and often join up with other local schools to ensure that we have the very best external providers to really invest in our staff.
